About Dan McGrady

Hi, I'm a startuper/entrepreneur from Toronto. I began creating web applications at a young age and ventured into business school. While a student I created one and a half startups.

I discovered I was learning far more from creating companies than I ever did in class and left school to work on startups full-time.

Now just over a year later I'm working as a designer and developer at Savvica a startup in Toronto, creators of Learnhub and Jumbotests. I also co-founded CareLogger as a side project.

What is dMix?


dMix is a pseudonym I made up (a play off of my initials dm and remix) from when I ventured into producing music.

I now use it to post about startups, technology and design. You can often find me spending (far too much) time partaking in Hacker News and Reddit.

I am a big fan of web apps with great UIs, Steve Blank's Customer Development, A/B testing, agile software development and startups that actually make money.
